Our client, an international multi disciplined consulting group, who provide design and project management services across the building and construction, civil engineering and infrastructure sectors seek a Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Infrastructure to join their Infrastructure Division in Abu Dhabi.

Working within KEO's Infrastructure Division, the Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be part of a growing team delivering some of the most prestigious power and communication projects across the Gulf Region.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design of Substation Primary Equipment Layouts, as well as Secondary design of substation facilities including, protection, site layouts, earthing, lighting and lightning protection. 
  Supervision and management of a team with regard to all aspects of Concept, Preliminary and
• Final Design stages. 
• Ensuring all electrical installations are conducted in accordance with quality standards and national and international design/construction installation specifications. 
• Preparing tender documentation and conducting design reviews. 
• Providing technical guidance and support where required as well as assisting and contributing to relevant stakeholders, consultants, project managers, clients and contractors.
  

The key attributes of the role include:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 7 years post graduate experienceMembership of an internationally recognized professional Engineering Association is also preferred. 
• You will have in-depth knowledge and proven experience in electrical transmission and distribution substation design with an insight into SCADA, telecommunications, and secondary protection applications is essential and Knowledge of power system Software (CYME/ETAP) will be highly regarded.
• Proven knowledge and experience in electrical installations including substation, power, lighting, cabling, wiring and grounding in accordance with national and international client design/construction installation specifications.
• Significant design experience in single line diagrams, circuit and interconnection diagrams as well as knowledge of low/high voltage design applications within infrastructure and industrial contexts. 
• Previous experience gained within a Consultancy or electrical asset owner environment would be highly regarded as would previous experience working in the Gulf Region.
