Our client, a leading global construction with global operations across more than eight countries and continuing to experience rapid growth in the international sector, are renowned worldwide for their infrastructure projects as a market leader. They now currently seek a Senior Site/Project Manager to lead and drive the construction of a US designed USD3B medical and research hospital which is a design and build project. This project forms part of a mega project valued at USD12B and is a landmark project highly renowned in the Gulf region and is the most expensive hospital in the world (per bed).

You will report to the Senior Construction Manager and be responsible for managing a team of site managers and site engineers and overseeing the construction process for the project from fit-out through to commissioning. You will be responsible for all site construction activities as well as have responsibility for logistics and planning for the project. The key function is to lead, direct and manage the construction to bring the project in on time, to budget and to quality world class standard. You must be very strong at driving the project forward and be able to manage multiple nationalities within this dynamic work environment.

Your duties will include:

• Is responsible for the delivery of the construction program in terms of time, cost and quality.
• Leading, directing and monitoring the performance of all site managers and site engineers and support staff in the team.
• Coordinating between construction, engineering and procurement and trade throughout the project cycle to ensure achievement of overall project schedule.
• Reporting and liaison with the client.
• Chairing of progress meetings, monitoring of work and programmes;
• Budget and program reporting to the client and the management team.
• Identifying and mitigating any potential risks associated with the contract scope and program.
• Managing all contract close-out arrangements.
• Ensuring the safe operations of all staff on the project.
• Monitoring and controlling sub contractors, consultants and vendors work.
• Monitoring of program for compliance and buildability considerations.

The key attributes for this role include:

• B.Sc in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Architecture, Construction or similar.
• 15+ years as a ‘Contractor' in the construction of prestigious buildings, ideally hospital construction experience and US designed projects, but will consider candidates who have at least
• 10 years fit out experience on complex mega projects such as hospitals, casinos, hotel, etc.
• Experience on large scale, USD>250mill plus projects in a similar position and within a JV environment is essential.
• Proven Design, Build, Cost and Planning experience
• Must be able to drive projects for performance results and display proven leadership abilities.
• Expatriate experience in the Middle East will be highly regarded.
• Ideally with hospital construction experience (ideally US designed projects)
