Corporate Planning Advisor

Continued economic growth in Qatar has created this exceptional Advisor role in the specialist field of Corporate Planning.  Our client, the leading government agency for infrastructure development and project management, is growing their advisory teams and now wish to appoint a Corporate Planning Advisor who will develop a continue improvement culture across the company. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Development, this role will centre on supporting the organization in developing a continuous improvement culture through the identification of appropriate initiatives in order to improve overall organisational performance.   This role is a technical advisor role to the Manager of Corporate Development who is a national of Qatar. Key responsibilities include:   
  • Development of continuous improvement management plans to strategically enhance the Corporate Improvement and Coordination Department’s performance, and maintain performance monitoring plans to effectively manage Departmental resources.
  • Initiate business strategies, corporate objectives, short and long term plans.
  • Conduct a regular investment portfolio analysis with objective to advice management on the mix of investment that will maximize the value for the organization.
  • Development of strategic plan and the subsequent fine tuning of the strategic plan for the Corporate Improvement and Coordination Department.
  • Ensure systems are developed and maintained for measuring necessary aspects of organisational and corporate performance.
  • Development and production of status corporate performance reports in line with board led improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure policies, procedures and standards are reviewed/revised in order to clearly reflect any corporate improvement initiatives, working methods etc.
  • Ensure training programmes/initiatives are developed and implemented on new or enhanced working methods/systems.
  • Establish performance targets for the Department ensuring that they are realistic and support the firm’s objectives. Develops long-term plans and appropriate strategies to ensure these objectives are achieved.
  • Identify continuous improvement initiatives as related to organisational performance are benchmarked against international standards.
  • Liaise with IT Department to proactively identify and implement technology driven improvement opportunities.
  • Ensures that potential benefits from each improvement project are fully maximised and that all business improvement initiatives are achieved in relation to financial and quality deliverables.
 Key Attributes: 
  • A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or equivalent degree
  • minimum of 15 years of experience in an operational function, with specific exposure to institutional strategic aspects with at least 6 years experience in a managerial position
  • Broad experience in Strategic planning, Change Management, Project Management, and continuous improvements.
  • Experience in the construction infrastructure industry (roads, building and drainage).
