Assistant Manager - Employee Relations & Systems

Our client is a Master Developer of innovative, sustainable projects that balance heritage and modernization but observe tradition.  Launched in 2009, they are renowned for combining development projects that combine modernization but proudly observes traditional architecture.  The firm's mandate is to study the built environment of the past in the context of modern, innovative technologies and effectively blend it to create a new architectural language. Our client now seeks to appoint an Assistant Manager - Leaning and Development to their Human Resource Team.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this is a newly created role and is responsible for implementing HR policies and practices to attract, develop and retain employees to support the firm's growth and to nurture a progressive and professional HR climate in the organisation.

Management of a team of 3 direct reports within the learning and development team, this role is responsible for:

  • HR Policy & Procedure: Advise on HR issues and ensure HR policies are properly applied and implemented to high standard. Update and act as a custodian for the HR policy manual. Implement policies, processes and instructions to team and monitor.
  • HR Administration: Manage, execute, and control of HR administration activities such as work application process (e.g. Medical, Sponsorship status, etc.), and benefits/welfare administration (medical insurance, employee leaves, worker insurance plan, loan, pension plan) that in line with applicable policy and labour laws. Also manage and control the administration of all terminations - medical, death, disciplinary, resignation etc. & responsible for End of Service benefit calculation, employee file closing on separation to ensure exit management process & company property recovery is conducted smoothly.
  • HRIS: Coordinate with the IT department & map the framework and business processes, review and gain agreement for HRIS procedures, which will steer and guide HR Department Administration.
  • Payroll and Payments Processing: Manage the preparation and processing of payroll for all employees and track all related changes.
  • Orientation and Induction of Employees: 1st Day induction programmes for all new recruits.
  • Survey Feedback: Analyze the feedback from regular employee satisfaction surveys & suggest implementation of action steps.

The attributes we seek include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, preferably in Human Resources Management.
  • 5 to 7 years experience in a similar HR role.
  • Candidates with previous experience with blue-chip companies / consulting firms or established regional real estate firms will be highly regarded.
  • Experience with Oracle highly regarded.
